To make an innocuous mistake but, through pride, attempt to convince people that it was a calculated move that outsiders simply cannot understand.

Person 1: "Nice trip!"

Person 2: "Trip? You didn't see me dodge that pigeon?"

Person 1: "I saw you trip! Don't covfefegate"

The act of spilling one's coffee on one's homework resulting in certain death and lack of sleep.
