The Black Isle is located in the Ross Shire region of the Highlands of Scotland. It consists of many small villages, some of them which used to be fishing villages.

The Black Isle has many primary schools and one high school (Fortrose Academy.) In each village there a few shops and at least one pub.

The Black Isle leads to Inverness by going through onto the A9 and over the Kessock Bridge.
me : The Black Isle is very small.
you : Yes, but the country-side is lovely!
