|1.||Keepin' it Real 3D|
When a person goes to see a new movie in theaters for viewing in "Real 3D," such as Avatar or Alice in Wonderland etc, they will acquire a pair of "Real 3D" glasses. These new plastic glasses are different from the cheap paper glasses from 3D movies of yore, and are in fact super-fly. These glasses may be kept after viewing the movie and worn by their owner at different social gatherings such as dance parties, raves, concerts, etc. This action can be referred to as "Keepin' it Real 3d" because it allows one to get a rep for their "Real 3D" experience, making others aware of the baller status they must hold for being able to afford such expensive movie tickets.
Wearer of Real 3D Glasses:
"Yo Arry (friend), check my swag! I just saw Alice in Wonderland, and I'm keepin' it Real 3D."
"Oh shit playboy, you look real fresh tonight."
A pair of glasses that look like those worn by Ira Glass, host of This American Life, characterized by prominent black frames. A favorite of the literati and intellectuals since the 1960s.
The 3D glasses that are being given out by Real D at Beowulf screenings look like oversized ira glasses (actually, like ira sun-glasses).
a game with great graphics but terrible gameplay and a screwed up rpg system. it also has several points where it involves hypnotism to keep those who have played it, playing it. after playing oblivion you will find that you have less ability in other games, rts and rpg espescially. to avoid the hypnotism, where the red and blue 3d glasses.
sane person:here, where these glasses.
3 weeks later;
oblivious:hey, wanna hack the internet caffé server?
bring your own 3d glasses or goggles baby
Friend 1: "Hey I saw Avatar last night, they weren't offering any free goggles anymore?"
Friend 2: "Its BYO3DGB. Some 3D companies have released some goggs with sick and twisted effects man!"
The sensation of flatness one gets after viewing images with 3D hardware for long periods of time.
Dude, after playing beating Fallout 3 in one sitting with the IZ3D monitor and the separation maxed out, I had a major 3D hangover. The rest of the world just seemed less 3D and flat.
|6.||The 3D Zone|
A period of time when you have just finished watching a 3D movie and still have the special 3D glasses on. When you are in the 3D zone you forget that the 3D glasses are still on and that you are not watching a movie any more. Whenever you see something you are in awe, forgetting that what you're seeing is acually a real
3 dimensional object, not a special form of animation.
-Wow was that movie incredible or what?! Everything looked so real. I thought that I could actually touch the things on the screen!
-Yeah it was pretty cool.
Steps out of theater...
-Whoa!!! Look!!!! These glasses make everything look so 3D!!! I think I can actually touch this door and open it.
-Yeah... you can. It's not the glasses, you can actually touch it you know.
-Look how crisp and detailed everything is!!!!!!!
-Uh oh. Looks like you're trapped in the 3D Zone. AGAIN!
An "Auto 3D" TV, monitor or other display device is one that can display three-dimensional images without the use of special headgear or glasses on the part of the user.
The recent technology expo featured many new 3D displays. The Auto 3D displays got extra attention since viewers don't have to wear any glasses to see the 3D effect.
