The word baller does not have to do with being good at basketball or making it in the big times by playing it as a profection.... It is a person who sells drugs such ass cocaine and marijuana and they would tighten the bag so it would look like a ball and would sell them and people would name a them a baller.

though usually used to discribe a succusfull basketball player or a gangsta who "makes it big" its also commonly used in the paintball community to discribe anyone who paintballs, esp someone who paintballs very well (see agg)
