The Philadelphia Eagles are the second best american football team next to the New England Patriots. They are both owned by friends who happen to be Jewish. Both owners met at a camp as youths in the catskill mountain range.
The ultimate goal of the two owners is to pull as much money out of the fans as possible. The winning of championships is secondary to the money that must be made.

the football team of philadelphia that is the glue that holds the city together. Lead by Coach Andy Reid, the eagles have shown that they are not completely dependent on T.O.( the peice of crap that he is) or mcnabb (the injury prone amazing quarterback) and have been able to make it to the playoffs without both of these players, which no one said they would do.

Formed in 1933, the Eagles struggled in their early years, but became dominant in the 1940s, making 3 straight championship games from 1947-49, winning titles in the '48 and '49 games. Under the leadership of quarterback Norm Van Brocklin, they won their third and most recent title in 1960. The team struggled for many years afterward, turning it around only in the late 1970s. From 1978-81, the team went on a streak of consecutive playoff berths that included a loss in 1980's Super Bowl XV. Under the multitalented quarterback Randall Cunningham, the team had 4 playoff berths between 1988-92, and followed these runs up with 2 more postseason apperances later in the decade. In the early 2000s, the Eagles were one of football's best teams with 5 straight playoff berths from 2000-04. However, Philadelphia's postseason record was dismal and it included 3 consecutive home NFC championship losses. The team finally made the Super Bowl in 2004, but lost a close one to the Patriots. In 2005, the Eagles collapsed, due in part to the Terrell Owens fiasco, and finished with a poor record.

A football team that has no life, its fan's always say that the Dallas Cowboys fans suck when in fact they have NO Superbowl wins and Dallas has 5. They say we choke...How bout when they faced the raiders in the 1980s for the Superbowl and lost, or when they faced the giants recently and LOST for the Superbowl.

Flying debris and other garbage (most notably plastic trash bags) caught by the wind and flung into trees in the very windy and very filthy streets of Philadelphia, PA.
We used to play a game growing up in Philly, count the Eagles in the trees as you walked down your road. If there were more than 10 Philadelphia Eagles in your block, you lived in the ghetto.
