1. A "feature" in Windows NT and derivatives (2000, XP) that allows direct sending of a message to another computer. Often used for unsolicited advertisements and having fun in the computer lab.

netseed 

An elaborate and surreptitious form of marketing on the internet. A netseed usually takes the form of a staged amateur video and is later revealed to be a commercial.

"That 'Bride Wigout' video on YouTube is a netseed! The crazy bitch cut her hair, but it's a commercial for Sunsilk hair products!"

When someone bend the net, aka hacking.
In the awesome series if Avatar the last airbender, other types of benders appear; airbenders, waterbenders, earthbenders and firebenders. Today we have netbenders, bending the net.
