unspoilify

unspoilifying is when someone spoils something accidentally, and they say stuff to cover it up and steer them in the other direction. so it’s basically the opposite of spoiling. you undo the spoil. and then everyone’s happy and it’s like you never spoiled anything. yay.
Oh no, I accidentally spoiled Dora and the Lost City or Gold for my friend. That’s okay, I’ll just unspoilify it and it’ll be fine.

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue?
