The scientific phenomenon behind the ratio of watermelon consumed to the darkness of one's skin; ie, the greater the amount of watermelon consumed, the blacker the skin.

Example 1:

Person 1: "Look at that guy over there, he's really enjoying that watermelon."

Person 2: "Oh, you mean that black guy? Yeah, he has a really high watermelatonin count."

Example 2:

Person 1: "I heard Tyrone was allergic to watermelon"

Person 2: "You mean Tyrone the new guy at work that's really light skinned?"

Person 1: "Yeah, he must have a really low watermelatonin count."

Watermelonin

Verb; used to describe an African-American or extremely tan person whose bodies produce excess amounts of Melonin, the chemical which allows skin on the body to tan. 'Watermelonin' refers to the racial stereotype of African-American's having an overt fondness for Watermelons, thus anyone with an excessively dark complexion is said to have Matermelonin.
