safety flush 

The act of a pre-emptive flush of the toilet BEFORE sitting down. Normally to ensure that the toilet will flush when needed and not back up. Usually performed when expecting a turd on exceptional volume and density, such as a bowl winder.

After that last bowl of chili, I decided to use a safety flush before I dropped a payload.

Safety Flush 

1. The act of flushing the toilet after taking a large dump or dropping multiple logs, but before wiping or finishing multiple logs, in an attempt to break up the volume the toilet has to handle. In effect, to safely flush a large dump without clogging the toilet.

2. A preemptive flush before taking a dump to see if the toilet will safely flush

"Bob, I need to use the bathroom after you, make sure you use a safety flush!"

Safety Flush 

To flush the toilet for a second time after laying the load to ensure there is no residual shit left behind.

Rob, taking a shit at his friends house, took an extra Safety Flush to flush the residual shit.
