This is usually done with some sort of cloth or fabric but can be accomplished using any number of soft or supple objects. A Rungy is generally seen as a submissive or ingratiating act on behalf of the person giving the Rungy. The person receiving the Rungy (being cleansed by the other person) is seen in a somewhat elevated social position (at least during the act of the Rungy). It is similar in scope to the phrase, "blow me," the person doing the blowing is in a somewhat submissive posture compared to the blowee.
