pre-internet

Before the internet.

When people still spoke to each other in person, and weren't as socially awkward and scared of confrontation.
And people were less self-aggrandizing and focused on living a faux life online.
Back when 'politically correct' wasn't as rampant.
THEN (Pre-Internet):

In person:
"Hey Sally, let's go on a date!"
"Sure thing Mark!"

NOW (Post-Internet):

On a computer:
"Unnghhffff huhhhh....(LIKE)"
"Hey there, thanks for the like! Please follow me and comment on how much you like the breakfast I had every day, and exclaim how intelligent and attractive I am - or claim to be online!" "And don't ever have a different opinion than me on anything, otherwise I will mute/block you, and I may fall into depression because I have no coping mechanism!"
"...."

Ex: No 'Kip Drordys' before the internet.

Pre-Internet Meme

Basically, a meme that existed way before the evolution and popularization of the internet. Memes have actually been around as long as 2,000 years with the oldest one in history being the Sator Square.

Some of the most notable pre-internet memes are Killroy Was Here, Frodo Lives, Bert Is Evil and Andre the Giant Has a Posse.
To be honest, I prefer pre-internet memes over 2010s memes. But unfortunately, there wasn't any internet to post them back then so I highly doubt anyone back then who shared Frodo Lives even knew who Frodo Baggins was or what Lord of the Rings even was considering how like I said, there was no internet back then.

printernet

Old people, or those who aren't tech savvy, that surf the web and then print out webpages so they can have them for reference are using the printernet.
I was using the printernet to find some new underwear, and my wife didn't like them when I showed her the pictures.

I mean I guess bro

a word of expression to when you give up on comprehending someone's words of ignorance, stupidity, absurdity or are too exhausted to formulate a proper response.

Commonly seen in TikTok comment sections in replies to lazy attempts at humor, overconfidentally incorrect statement, or an over-the-top comment or when someone completely misses the mark on something.
"actually... incorrect statement, hope this helps!"

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.
Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.
