software paternalism

A software design problem where user decisions subordinate to defaults selected by the architect. Oftentimes, the user is thought to be too incompetent or stupid to use the software but truthfully, there is a lack of interest in allowing the program to be flexible.

Compare to droolproof paper -which is the case when something is designed so dumbed down that it adversely affects the functionality.
Apple products are terrible in general because they suffer from software paternalism.

Paternoism

To cultivate the appearance of successful leadership, all the while managing one's organization in a detached--perhaps even negligent--manner that invites malfeasance; to ignore poor and criminal behavior on the part of one's subordinates; to become so captivated in projecting an image of one's own compassion and beneficence, that one loses track of one's own charges and responsibilities.
"'Having a photo-op on an aircraft carrier, while your administration writes plans to cut veterans benefits is an act of the most hubristic Paternoism--but the optics are sure to move the Peoplemeters,' remarked the campaign consultant."

Paternalistic

Exhibiting behavior consistent with a father looking after his children. Hopefully that would include things like being protective, supportive and providing for them. Can also be applied to non-family situations, such as a sugar daddy providing for his hot mess of a girlfriend.
Not trying to be paternalistic, but I went ahead and filled up your car. Didn't want you to break down again.

maternalism

A type of toxic behaviour most commonly exhibited by middle aged women which seeks to control or discredit a person through a sustained campaign of infantilisation, gaslighting and intense focus on the target's perceived flaws or disabilities.

Through this the perpetrator sets themselves up as a protective mother figure of an otherwise capable adult to whom they are usually not related.

This tactic is often used in the defence of bigotry or conspiracy theories such as the anti-vax movement, the goal being to portray the target as too immature to have their arguments taken seriously.
That article by JK Rowling reeks of maternalism.

Nerd neck

A "human" that spends so much time playing video games that their posture is level nerd neck. Everytime anyone goes tryhard they hunch down and their neck gets longer there fore a nerd neck is always hunched down cause they're always going try hard. In other words a nerd neck is a try hard, since their neck is 100% longer than the average human being due to playing too many video games and taking them serious, nerd necks are not even considered human anymore but something more sad. Nerd necks are often found on fortnite, their natural habitat usually being tilted towers.
