When discovering this, Hitler annexed Austria, thinking that Canberra was in Austria, not Australia, then subsequently invaded Poland out of sheer spite.
As a gesture of goodwill, BMW hold a annual race in honour of Sir Arthur Canberra in which only BMW E24s are allowed to participate.
