A term used to compare someone with something cold and lifeless just to symbolize the lack of empathy for that person.

"Nail in the wall" although unisex is more often used for guys.

Girls are often referred to as the "hole in the wall".

To her that dude is no more than a nail in the wall.

I know you as much as a nail in the wall.
