The individual has a sense of local self-obligation consumption whether or not it be for ecological, economic, or convenience reasons. Consumption of products or retail visits can be narrowed within a certain radius such as 5, 25, or 50 miles away.
Jack being a locasumer only buys his groceries at the local farmers market and always visits that mom and pop hardware store.
