The opposite of "kickstart" as in it refers to end-stage funding needed to bring a product to it's final form, such as manufacturing costs, stocking, etc., after all the prototyping, testing and logistics is done.
That company is running a kickend campaign because they need to preorder 100'000 units from the manufacturer to get their required ROI
