Eat unhealthfully and feel no shame about it and will tell you so. Could be used as a slur against someone's lifestyle habits you do not approve of. It is a rather classist slur

It can be dealt with using Cognitive Behavior Therapy etc. Many people with the condition recover fully if they receive appropriate counseling. If you think you know someone who is a hypochondriac deal with the situation sympathetically, it can be just as bad as a fear of drowning. Try to encourage the person to seek help from a therapist to help them deal with their fears.
