The act of people that are too stupid to realise they are stupid gathering in herds to ward off the actual intellectually superior people.

I was on reddit earlier lurking posts and I stumbled upon this thread filled with nothing but herd-stupidity against the OP

Herd-stupidity 

A form of indirect protection from rational thinking that occurs when a large percentage of a population has become immune to using their brains, whether through group think or mainstream media influence , thereby providing a measure of isolation for individuals who are not so afflicted.

We seem to be protected from making any progress as society has achieved herd-stupidity

Ummm. I think I'll wait for the vaccine rather than jump on your herd stupidity train.
