fakelore

Music, art, and literature passed off as folklore when in reality they are not. Soviet-era ensembles like the Red Army Choir are a prime example of fakelore: the music and dances have been prettied up for mass public and Soviet government consumption. There is an increasing trend for many music and dance ensembles around the world to present more authentic folkloric material, but it is an uphill battle because of the demands of commercial interests.

When you see the Moiseyev Dance Ensemble perform, bear in mind that you're seeing carefully choreographed dances. A lot of the material they present is fakelore.

fakecore

1. The act of pretending to be something (i.e. happy, normal, sane...) in order to keep everyone from thinking you are something other then that (i.e. sad, weird, crazy...).
People like this are usually attempting to protect themselves from the harsh reality of whatever is around them. Sometimes, rarely, they are trying to live up to the reputation that may have been put on them years ago.

2: This word can have whatever meaning you want it to. It is defined by the person using it. More of a personal understanding.

fakelorette 

A fake/faux bachelorette themed party where attendees dress up in bachelorette inspired outfits and celebrate the excitement of a bachelorette without a bride! Funny shirts, girly pop music, heart sunglasses, and risqué props encouraged! A Fakelorette Party is a fun theme event!

Created by the social club "Hard To Make Friends As An Adult" and their host @MeetwithMacey summer of 2022 when they hosted the first Fakelorette themed party ever in Downtown Houston!

fakeorexic 

Stupid teens who think it's 'cool' to have an eating disorder and often make comments such as "OMG I'm so fat! I totally need to lose weight. I'm going to skip dinner to lose weight."

Jamie is such a fakeorexic. She told me today that she hasn't eaten in 3 days. She didn't remember that she told me it was 5 days yesterday.
