ebonification

The modern-day raping, deconstruction, and reconstitution of our cherished idioms and expressions. For example, "Back in the good old days," has become, "Back in the day." Suggesting that there was only one day in existence prior to the present. And "I don't believe you just did that," has become "Oh, no you didn't," which is meaningless because, obviously, they have indeed.
The ebonification of the age-old expression has rendered it nonsensical.
