Street drifting done only in the wet so your dont use as much tread on your tires. If done in the right conditions (i.e. Very wet roads with a layer of water) you will use almost no tread.

There is no need for excessive acceleration to get the wheels spinning, all you need to do is tap the gas to slide the rear end out as you go around a corner in the wet and use the wet to your advantage rather than flooring the gas to keep the slide going.

REMEMBER ITS ONLY DONE WHEN IT RAINS.
