A gamer superstition. The Desire Sensor detects what rare item, or event you are farming for, and prevents the game from giving it to you. Only when you forget about it, or no longer need it will the item drop, or event happen.

Desiree is a beautiful young lady. She is often impulsive but very creative. She often has trouble with confrontation and gets herself into trouble. Yet Desiree is always determined to make things right. She is a hard worker and very headstrong. She is usually the one in charge of a relationship but let's her partner have say over a lot of things. She is silly at times and can also be very sexy. Due to it's complete and utter lack of coherence, and therefore high comedic potential, /v/irgins jumped on it and began to spread it across the rest of 4chan and Youtube. Extensive research has ended with this meaning (from knowyourmeme.com):
