crank call

A term that was created when someone misheard the expression prank call.

Since the debut of the show Crank Yankers, the name has stuck. This is unfortunate since "crank" call doesn't make any sense.

Person 1: Dude the other day we made a bunch of crank calls, it was hilarious!

Person 2: You made what? You mean PRANK calls, right?

Person 1: Prank call? ... Huh, I guess you're right.

a type of prank call where the person is old enough to have better ways of entertaining himself, or is motivated by pathology of some sort.

Crank calls aren't funny, and usually they're intended to be scary-- or antagonize in some way.

Answering a phone call from a known telemarketer with expletives and yelling.

Answering phone call: "THIS BETTER BE GOOD, JERKY!"
Known telemarketer on phone: "may I speak to Joe? I have important information for him"
Reverse crank call: "NO! ARE YOU HIGH OR JUST STUPID? I AM INCLINED TOWARD THE LATTER, JERKY! AND STOP CALLING ME!"

Describing how you feel after eating too much. Wishing you did not have to move from the dinner table after stuffing your face and have a crane lift you to the couch. So full that you are breathing like a gold fish.

That 3rd plate of pasta was so good, ugh I can't move someone call in the crane for me.

Call of duty crack ops

Another name for the new call of duty game which with its multiplayer is highly addictive. If you let it hook you in, you will forgo nature to play it. it is not the best game ever made by any stretch of the imagination but when playing multiplayer you will become an addict. like taking lots of crack will make you addicted. I doubt NASA devoted more time to the space program than gamers have to this game. do not let it hook you in, leaving play for a few hours will cause withdrawal symptoms. if the government wants a way to keep people in check look no further
