A forced donation or charitable item one feels unfairly obligated to give to. Examples such as a coworker bringing their daughters cookies you are pressured to purchase or the pet project your boss would like everyone to contribute to. Failure to comply generally resulting in shame amongst peers.

A non-profit organization dat collects and distributes used/unwanted furniture to sit on.

Since our kids grew up and moved out, we seldom have very many people sitting around the dinner-table, so I think I'll donate the extra seats to chairity.
