When someone goes through phases of catchphrases. They use new words or phrases they've heard or made up but move on to new 'phases' frequently.

Person 1: Oi mate how is you doing fam
Person 2: Stop saying 'fam', it's just another one of your catchphases

Catch phrases 

A stupid way to say something and don't say anything at the same time. See also All your base are belong to us (which is the most annoying), I'm Rick James b******************* and That's hot!. Don't you dare saying a catch phrase in a MMORPG.

Guy no.1: WHAAAAZZZUUUPPP?
Guy no.2: Let's play Battlefield! All your base are belong to us.
Me: Die all ¬¬
