1. To fabricate a reason for something that can not be identified.

2. To wholeheartedly convince someone that a given false statement is true.

1. "Dude, what's this thing I found in your car?"
"Oh, that? That's the babystrap."

2. "I can't believe I fell for that lame explanation. I've been thoroughly babystrapped."
