Derrick Wright is the biggest twitterphile I know.

twitterpaign 

A campaign nearly completely conceived of, and orchestrated on, twitter. A twitterpaign will contain a hash-tag (#) next to key words to influence twitter trends. Twitterpaigns ask followers to do something: retweet, blog, email, online petition or voting.

Currently, a number of celebrities are asking followers to vote for them for the People's Choice Awards. Example tweet: "Did everyone vote today for @NathanFillion (moi) #peopleschoice"

Twitterpaigns can be retaliatory. Comments made by a Marie Claire blogger about the "fatties" on the CBS show "Mike & Molly" provoked a twitterpaign. The blogger's twitter page was "blasted", tweets called for blogger's firing & requested followers retweet.

You can access your page, you may not post publicly for a specific period of time. Anything from half an hour to a few hours.
