Tais-toi

French word for shut up. Used frequently in French class to let certain members of the class know that they really do not deserve speaking privliges. Usually used in conjuction with the word "baisse."

Moi: Renée tais le baisse-toi.
Renée: D'accord. Tu as raison.

"Shut up" in French. Not recommended to say to a teacher, but to a friend is okay.
Student talking when not supposed to (in French class): "Blah blah blah."
Other (good) Student: "Tais-toi!"
