The act of helping someone's indecisiveness by making a decision for them, actually benefitting yourself more than them. Being selfish under the guise of being helpful.
The guy at the 4-way stop had the right-of-way, but was just sitting there, so I went before him. I made a decision since he apparently was incapable. I was just "getting out of his way". I was being selpful.

These acts of selpfulness can also be witnessed in traffic jammed supermarket aisles, parking spot debates in parking lots, and debates over "who's going to eat the last piece of pizza".
