Portmanteau of 'quack' and 'academic'. A professor, scientist or other academic figure who, while qualified on paper, is in actuality full of shit.

"I'm sorry, you research what?"

"Homeopathy. It's actually very effective, you'll find."

"Oh...you're a quackademic. Fuck off then".

An academic who has no real life work experience at what they do making them a fraudulent or ignorant pretender.

There is more than one quackademic "working" in Congress.
