A phrase coined by the self proclaimed indie-fag wannabe scene kid. Meaning... Well, no one is really sure, but the best guess is..uh, Making people complacent?

Playdating 

When you're only 14 years old and you want to date someone, but your parents tell you you're not old enough (especially when the person you want to date is older).

You are allowed to go on play dates (hence the playdating) until the 16 year old benchmark is met. Playdating is a good way to get to know your potential significant other while keeping it clean by playing with blocks and coloring pictures.

When Charlotte wanted to date Grant, her parents told her she was too young, so her sister suggested they take it slow and consider playdating instead.

Placting

- To play a video game performatively; to impress the viewing audience rather than to play for the genuine joy of the video game itself.
- A combination of the verbs 'play' and 'act'

The video game looks great when a streamer is placting; walking slowly and making dramatic camera turns, but otherwise, the gameplay clearly lacks immersion, drama, and polish.

(v.) to anal-placate means to masturbate rather than participate in sex as a non-direct gesture to stop someone from feeling angry or hostile, usually by abstaining from the current homosexual ratios in consideration of ambitious & socially adept individuals.

Oh no worries, it's very unlikely to get an S.T.I. when I am anal-placating due to an ambiguously emotional moment during that last tea party.

Playgating 

Playgating (for a lack of a better word) is pretending to hate something while actually being a huge fan.

Playgaters are actually just spiteful that other people can freely express their quirky interests without fear of being mocked, so they demean others to make themselves feel better.

Noun: Playgater

Person 1: Say, did you see the Naruto finale episode, it was so lit.

Person 2: Yea, I especially liked the- ...

Playgater: (Has watched every episode, plus spin-off special) Ha! You losers actually watch that crap? Such weebs!

"Johnny told me he hates anime, but I caught him buying Dragon Ball DVDs at the Mall, classic playgating".
