In June 2022, Roe v. Wade, which protects a woman's right to abortion across the
United States, was struck down in this case by a Republican-majority
Supreme Court. This case is a huge blow to women's rights, and, if Justice
Clarence Thomas is to be believed, might even lead to the further erosion of hard-fought 14th amendment civil rights, including same-sex marriage and interracial marriage.
In June 2022, SCOTUS overturned the landmark decision of Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health
Organization case, making abortion no longer a
protected right in the
United States.
