Person who lives on the Northfield Campus of NMH, usually more into the Arts than athletics (unless the sport is Ultimate Frisbee). Sometimes described wrongly as smelly, dirty, bare-footed hippies, Northfielders are superior to their fellow NMH students, the Hermonites.

The best prep school to ever be created. In the beginning, if you were pretentious and snobby, you were turned away by admissions immediately. It is a place where, both in history and present, many celebrities send their kids i.e. Jackie Robinson, Daniel Craig, John Irving, Patrick Ewing, etc. Celebrities are made at NMH too, such as Uma Thurman, Laura Linney, Chiddy Bang, etc.
It is a prep school that proves you don't have to be snobs to be a successful prep school. NMH Basketball is the biggest feeder to the Ivy League in the country and dominates typical schools like Deerfield. NMH teaches kids to go out and DO SOMETHING in the world, not make a lot of money.
It has quite possibly the best food in prep school, and one of the nicest campuses too.
Other schools such as Choate, Exeter and Deerfield think NMH is a hippy drug school, because the students don't dress in pastels 24/7 and can have good times.
All in all, NMH trumps the other prep schools except maybe Taft which is a pretty sick place.

Get the Northfield Academy mug.It's really not that bad. At least that's what the people who live there try to think. What is there to do? Nothing. That's why they have so many drugs. It's full of indie college students and the high schoolers get dumber as they get older. If you're looking for drugs, just ask anyone. They most likely have a hook up. If you HAVE to visit: Hogan Brothers and Blue Monday are a "good" nofo expierience. Jesse James tried to rob this bank and this dude was like "get your guns" and a bunch of people got shot and that was basically it. But thanks jesse, for making it impossible to drive ANYWHERE that one week in september. P.S. Don't mention faribault.
