A term used to indicate that a movie rated R has an especially high amount of violence, profanity, and/or nudity and sex.

There's no way that Deadpool would have been good if they'd gone for a PG-13; that had to be a hard R.

The world may never get a real idea of what their message is, and that's just what the message might be.
