Fnuff (derived from floof) is an adjective used to describe animals with thick, soft looking short fur. For example, a short-haired kitten, a puppy, or an otter.

Fnuff can also be used as a noun to refer to the coat of an animal with soft looking short hair.

Adj. Otters look very fnuffy

N. That kitten is covered in fnuff.

A common term used among pet bird owners online and people within the birb community.

AKA the floofy feathers that surround the beaks of some birbs (notably cockatoos, cockatiels, and other parrots) when the birb is puffed up.
