This is a girl who has everything going for her. They are very rare not only because of the rare name but because of the combination of excellent personality and beautiful physical features. They have a clouded past that can cause some problems but they are strong women who don't let the past get in the way of what's going well for them in the present. They have a weird sense of humor but when you get to know them, it grows on you and brings out the weirdness in you in a good way and before you know it, you have fallen in love with Erisa and you never want to let her leave. Having a banging body sure doesn't hurt either as an Erisa always will. If you meet one, snatch her up and never let her go because she will love you with all her heart.
Yo bro, I met this girl Erisa. She is so fine and cracks me up all the time. She's a keeper.

(U.S. GOVERNMENT) Employee Retirement Income Security Act (1974); federal law that sets minimum standards for most voluntarily established pension and health plans in private industry to provide protection for individuals in these plans.

Very important law was supposed to ensure that employer pension plans were (a) managed by qualified, ethical people, and (b) those people did not take excessive risks with the funds paid into the pensions.

ERISA was subsequently weakened by a Department of Labor ruling in 1978 that allowed pension fund managers to invest in riskier types of portfolios. At the same time this occurred, financial managers were stuck with negative real interest rates, and high inflation. So there was an urgent need for financial vehicles with high yield.

As a result, pension fund money flowed into the new hedge funds and junk bonds.

Another major change to ERISA was the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA-1986) allows workers recently unemployed from a job to keep their group health insurance coverage for a limited period of time.

ERISA regulations for vesting pension benefits were watered down during the '90's, resulting in massive risk taking and erosion of income security for middle class Usonians.
Because the 1978 changes in federal policy were correlated with the flows of venture capital while the 1986 change was not, it seems reasonable to infer than the ERISA ruling was probably more important than the reduction in the capital gains tax in stimulating the flow of venture capital in 1978.

{William D. Bygrave, Jeffry A. Timmons, *Venture capital at the crossroads* Harvard (1992), p.272}

In most years since 1986, Congress has passed revisions to ERISA; during this time, voluntary pension funds have become a tool of economic policy management.

Elisabetta

A wonderful, mysterious deeply intelligent creature. Untrusting and immensely private, she is beautiful and kind. Upsetting her could well result in (at least) the loss of a considerable volume of blood. Don't consider deliberately pissing her off without considering the question "can I survive without a major limb?".

Elisabetta

The most adorable girl, which your unhealthy mind could make up in dreams, the most horrible when you find her in reality, because from that moment you are a slave of her, you can’t think about something another than just to touch here shining skin just to make sure that angels really exist in that world.
Roman Emperor banned name Elisabetta, because that breathtakingly beautiful goodness like creature could stop legions and make them fight for her just with slight move of her eyebrow.

The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

Successful strivers:
- Barack Obama
- Harold Koh

Hate Draft

1. Select a player (real or fantasy) during a sports draft to spite or anger one or more of your opponents because they had intended to select him/her.

2. Select a player (real or fantasy) during a sport draft to put one or more of your opponents at a strategic disadvantage.
1. Billy hate drafted Chad OchoCinco because he knew Sam had wanted him since he is from Cincinnati. Billy already had plenty of players to fill that position but wanted to make sure Sam didn't get him.

2. Billy hate drafted Peyton Manning because he was the only good quarterback left and he knew Sam had been planning on drafting him.
