DAAP 

The purgatory of the Greater Cincinnati Area.

The College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati is where all the cool, well-dress, and talented kids in Cincinnati go to school. Students are worked nearly to death, never sleep, and develop some type of addiction before graduation (weed, alcohol, coke, abuse), and somehow miss it when they go on internship quarters. DAAP students all promptly leave Cincinnati after graduation to live in better cities like New York, Seattle, and New Orleans.

DAAP is my abusive boyfriend. I tried to leave once, but I missed the torture so much I just had to go back and finish (otherwise I'll never get out of this town).

daap slapped

What happens when you attend the University of Cincinnati and have classes in DAAP. Daap slapping usually refers to when you get slammed with a bunch of work, you suffer hell through a crit., or when you loose sleep from doing DAAP work.

"I got daap slapped yesterday in my drawing class. 20 renderings due by tomorrow."
"Have you seen the rest of our class? Did they all get daap slapped, or what?"

Daap Slap 

Hard work that is art/design related suddenly failing because of a trivial oversight. Usually just before a critique when you'd be tired, hungry, and ready to quit. Then you are Daap Slapped without a completed project to show and may have to make due with something worthless.

A student at the University College of Design, Architecture, Art, & Planning. Most likely you will see them dressing weird, falling asleep while walking, or you maybe not see them for days on end.

Dan: Gosh, Banderger is such a daaper.

daaptastic 

synonyms: daapful

(adj.) a sarcastic combination of fantastic and the DAAP program at the University of Cincinnati. Primarily used to refer derogatively to scenesters with high hopes of ambition soon to be crushed by their complete lack of artistic ability. May also refer to the building itself, which, having no right corners, is incapable of being mapped for the purposes of finding a classroom.

(1): That soup can on the wall might be considered an homage to Andy Warhol. However, Andy Warhol did it first, making the copy looking daaptastic.

(2): Person 1: Did you get lost in DAAP?

Person 2: I went out a door that led out to a grassy knoll and did not have a handle so I could not get back in. Daaptastic!
