Chivesy

Adjective. Used to describe a person that is slightly awkward or shy. Can imply a person who is social but does not correctly socialize. May even show a slight gay or unusual sexual behavior. Typically a derogatory term to show superiority in social class.

"Alex over there seems a little chivesy."

Chives

Chives, most people call them green onions, but they're really scallions.

The misuses always fixes a plate of relish with them little carrot sticks. Y'know, olives, pickles, chives...most folks call 'em "green onions" , but they're really scallions. Have you ever noticed that, Joe?

Chives
