The Blawl Game

Share definition Flag
A mind game inspired by The Game, but intended to foster friendly competition rather than spite.

There are only two rules:

1) In any exchange between participants of The Blawl Game, whichever says "BLAWL" first, wins that exchange. Note that, due to the nature of The Blawl Game, this is not accompanied by a loss for the other player; rather, the winner wins that exchange while the other player remains unaffected.

2) There must be a time period between exchanges to prevent Blawl spamming; this time period is defined as however long it takes for all members of the previous exchange to have stopped thinking about The Blawl Game.

Thus, if one participant were to win an initial Blawl exchange, and the two participants were to then have a several-minute conversation about other things, and the other participant were to then suddenly remember The Blawl Game, they could then slip "BLAWL" into the conversation and win the second exchange.
Person A: "Good morning, how are you today?"

Person A: "ROFB"
Person B: "Huh? Don't you mean ROFL?"
Person A: "Nope. ROFB: Rolling On The Floor Blawling."

Person A: "What does a giraffe have in common with a giant redwood?"
Person B: "Something about being tall?"
Person A: "Nope, actually they're both quite blawl."

blaxland high

Share definition Flag
Blaxland high is located in the depths of blaxland. usually consists of intoxicated students lead by groups smoking many narcotics. if you are or will be a student of blaxland high, do expect to see police, fire brigade, ambulance and forensic cars on a regular basis as some may find it more entertaining to call in bomb scares instead of attending classes. students are often found sitting out the front (smoking or consuming alcohol) or at the local Charcoal Chicken shop located across the street.

Expect to see and/or be bullied by the "smokers" from 'down the back', often seen smoking, drinking and occasionally abusing fellow students.

Striver

Share definition Flag
The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

Successful strivers:
- Barack Obama
- Harold Koh
