Blagden

A Blagden is a person making a specious complaint about the activities of a neighbour or neighbours who they don't get on with. The complaint might be about noise, parking, colour of shirt or practically anything else where one person may have a different opinion or taste to another.

To be a Blagden one has to ruthlessly pursue a complaint irrespective of the law, rules, general public opinion, situational reality, common decency or common sense.

The phrase is believed to originate from the Peterborough or East Northamptonshire area of England.
