Was once a bastion of blue-collar Eastern Europeans and Italians, then saw a large influx last decade of Mexicans, many of whom viewed it as a Mexican Berkley and felt it was going to be Chicagoland's base of Mexican culture and activism. Unfortunately, many paid way, way more than they could afford for the privilege of a home in this dynamic community and, due to lack of education and stable jobs, and a general lack of understanding of how an adjustable rate mortgage works, have been pushed into foreclosure and back into Cicero and Little Village, or into the basements of friends and relatives. Today, whites still control government and, with tightened lending standards in the banking industry, the town is seeing more of an influx of yuppies from Oak Park and the north side Chicago than Hispanics.

Berwyn is home to Handel's Ice cream (open year round) , a scandalous high school, and multiple mansions. Here, you can find moms with GMC Yukon XLs and Chevrolet Suburbans with many lacrosse stickers. It is a really nice place to live and grow up.
Hey , let's go to Berwyn tonight to get some ice cream at Handels, and we should go watch a football game at Conestoga High School.

Get the berwyn mug.Where the classes of 2018 and 2020 are not going to make it in life. Class of 2019 are still awful but still have a better chance of being successful than 2018 and 2020. Kids here are 95% Mexican 4% white and 2 black kids. Teachers here are horrible. Nothing but up right assholes. You’ll get detentions for talking back to an old degenerate yelling at you for telling them you need to use the bathroom. One of the worst middle schools in the city of Berwyn.
Heritage Middle School (Berwyn) has the most troublesome people in the school. Most wont amount to anything though.
