The right way to smiley face over the Internet. :) is incorrect as there is not nose...the real way is :-) and it is the most awesome was of expressing joy. Simply, :) is wrong and :-) is right. Obviously.

This smiley face emoticon is the first used. In 9 - 19 - 1982, a guy called Scott Fahlman typed in these 3 characters and made the emoticons.

1: Hey, want to know a fact?
2: I don't really want to, but i guess i have nothing else to do so... yeah.
1: The first emoticon was used in September 19th, 1982, and the certain emoticon was the ":-)" smiley face.
