A slur for lesbians and often sapphic in general. Very offensive, and shouldn't be used unless you are reclaiming it. Even then, the word still holds a lot of power.

Person A: Dude, you like Izzy? Don't you know she's a dyke?

An degradative term and slur, meaning no attraction to males.

Used on homosexual women (lesbians, especially masculine and androgynous ones)s
,however, many lesbians reclaimed the word, it's mostly used by butches, however any lesbian can call themselves 'dyke'.

People may use this term instead of lesbian because it adds some "toughness".
There is also "dyke clubs" and "dyke march", it's basically a safe space where homosexual women meet each other.

(Please remember, *only* lesbians can use this word, it still hold a very bad meaning!)
