He and his group of militants constantly ran through the vast jungle of the province of Lanao del Sur in order to hide or ambush police, AFP or rival rebel groups. His valor and bravery was unmatched by other leaders before him, thus prompting anonymous citizens of Marawi City to hang a banner commemorating the martyrdom of Abu Zachariah. Never will his brethren forget him as long as their short lives will last without food nor water in the merciless jungles of the southern Philippines as drone strikes and artillery strike them regularly. Never will they stop their Jihad against their enemies.
