Get the Poverty Poser mug.What happens when you lack sufficient money. Minor forms are just an annoyance but extreme forms can cause hunger or premature death (like kids in Africa).
Types of poverty:
Pseudo-poverty: People like this make me mad- it's when you are living in a nice area or even own a house and all of your friends are rich or spoiled. But you are only middle-class or not as spoiled, and as a result complain or post on the internet that you are "poor" when instead you live in an area like southern Orange County CA.
Minor poverty: You struggle to afford casual things that all your middle-class (not rich/spoiled) friends have and usually live in an apartment that rents for less than $1500.
Moderate poverty: You need gov. assistance and live on food banks/food stamps. You likely are in a crime-ridden cheap area.
Severe poverty: You struggle to even eat or find a home. I don't think you would be able to access the internet and read this.
Absolute poverty: The stereotypical "kid in Africa". You're dead if you are at this level. Either major disease or starvation strikes you.

My family lives in minor poverty, but is at risk of being in "moderate". At least I'm not in severe or absolute poverty...

Get the povertize mug.Posers are people who "pose" as something they're not, pretend to look like a group of people, like punks, headbangers or stoners, usually related to music.
That was the simple way, now here's the real definition, according to me: Posers are usually people that don't fit in, so trying to fit in, they act like the people around them, pretending to like the music, have the attitude, and also dressing like them. I will use as an example the tipical poser stoner.
A lot of people don't like stoners, is it because they smoke weed, act like that or because they think that stoners are hippies or something like that, but i think stoners are cool people to be around, i would actually call myself one. But the poser stoner don't really think like his friends, so here are some of the things a poser stoner usually do:
smoke weed as a drug, not as a way to think about life and have fun
Struggle through Dark Side of The Moon and call himself a Pink Floyd fan, and when someone is talking about pink floyd, all he has to say is "they're great! i love their attitude! DSOTM is a great album!"
Can't chill and listen to a Jimi Hendrix song, he has to headbang or air guitar his way through the song
Fills his Ipod with Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix songs, even though he hasn't listened to any of those since he was in his friend's.
Thinks surfing is a way to show off to his/her friends
If offered some drug as meth, coke or crack, he/she would deffinitely do it

Get the poser mug.could everyone please shut the fuck up calling people posers. its just obnoxious. dont criticize others for where they shop, look like, live, listen to, etc. there are some groups of people i dont like, but i wouldnt call them posers (in my opinion). smoke up and geddalong!
