pulling a Schrodinger

Making a half-sarcastic comment to a group of people that can be rebuked as sarcasm/banter if unappreciated, or just as easily allowed to slide if it's appreciated.

The name is derived from the famous Schrödinger's cat experiment, a demonstration of the concept of quantum superposition. 'The cat in this box is either dead or alive, and we have no way of knowing for certain until we open the box...'
1: "Mark just made a joke about women's rights. He's uh... he's being sarcastic, though, right...?"
2: "That guy is just pulling a Schrodinger to gauge the overall social climate here. See that? The douche just took it right back!"
1: "Damn..."

Pulling a Corzine

Named for former NJ Gov. & Senator and criminal Jon Corzine, who almost got killed in a car accident in 2007 when he wasn't wearing his seat belt because he thought it was uncomfortable. This means not using a safety device available to you, needlessly taking a foolish and unnecessary risk.
'That guy with his bike helmet on the handlebars rather than on his head is pulling a Corzine'.

To Pull a Jamesy is to confirm your attendance at an upcoming social engagement or event, and to the pull out at the last minute. Often without paying the organiser for the cost of tickets that they had purchased on your behalf.

Pulling a Fletcher

Faking an injury in order to not be bested by someone younger and more skilled than you. This is the most shameful way of faking an injury and is practiced routinely by PolySci majors who run Cross-Country.
Ryan: Oh my God I think I broke my ankle!
Cody: Are you sure you're not just "Pulling a Fletcher" so that you don't look bad when you lose the race?
