Woke

A shortened form of awakened, or awoken; slang that has been in usage since at least the year two thousand CE, with most Urban Dictionary definitions coming after 2016, the earliest at 2005. Around 2014 Urban Dictionary submissions shift from states of non slumber to social commentary, largely becoming attacks against people the submitter disagrees with from 2016 onward.

An individual that is highly perceptive regarding the current state of the world. Generally practices a lifestyle of being mindful, ecofriendly and aware of their current carbon footprint inpact to the earth. Typically avoids shopping at large e-commerce stores or corporations and prefers smaller niche retailers at three times the cost. Diet is usually vegetal leaning or fully vegan. Clothes are typically thrifted or bought from expensive small business retailers.

Selectively expensive in some things such high quality products for aesthetics but serves no ergonomic function.

Don't you think Kelly is so earth woke? She just bought a compost machine and that blue land soap. She really loves the environment.
