Claudinegay

Claudinegaying, named after former Harvard president Claudine Gay, is defined as copying text from another source, typically without attribution. The text will typically not be critical to the main point the author is trying to express, and hence the author will argue that this does not rise to the level of plagiarism.

Whether something would be considered claudinegaying or plagiarism depends on the context.

I claudinegayed the definition of the normal distribution from our textbook, but the prof thought it was plagiarism and gave me a zero on the assignment.

An auditorium that belongs to someone named Claudia. Such as the balcony in the studio of the British TV show "Strictly Come Dancing", where Claudia Winkleman interviews the dancers.

After receiving the judges' comment, the dancing pair made its way up to the Clauditorium.
