A time to be ready that is considered too early in the morning. Usually, it is a time between 02:00 and 05:00 a.m.

Example One:
Director: Tomorrow's schedule begins at 05:00 a.m., so be ready by 04:30 a.m.
Employee (under his breath): Oh crap! Another Zero-Dark-Buffalo-Hour timing!

Example Two:
Employee One: What time do we have to be ready?
Employee Two: Zero-Dark-Buffalo-Hour
Employee One: Shit! I wanted to sleep in!

-water buffalo's are plus size girls who lerk in the after hours of parties searching for passed out pray. they yern for young pray such as freshmen, but will settle for old old bulls who are still making there rounds.

The ferocious water buffalo was hungry for man meat so she took to the past out freshmen on the couch. The freshmen stood strong and played dead. This didn't stop the beast, she continued on for bigger pray, the stud senior, whom was still a functional drunk. She wasn't taking no for an answer this time and had her way with him. The next morning the stud senior had been water buffalo-ed.
