Bite the Wax

To is to fall for the trick of false authenticity or implied character connection in a piece of media, usually and especially as it relates to queer relationships. The "Wax Apple" as it were is a hollow but appealing representation of a desire audiences have that may be encouraged by the media's author or showrunner, frequently hinted at, or built up to, only to never come to fruition.

Me and Jake used to love watching Teen Wolf together, but i dropped it after all the Sterek Queerbaiting. Jake is all too happy to Bite the Wax and hope they'll still end up together even after the Malia thing.
